Domestic water tank types

Water tanks are used for industrial purposes as well as residential purposes. The type of tanks used in these areas has different uses and hence they vary greatly in all aspects. This most basic category is again divided into various sub categories. Water tanks are mostly used for house hold purposes and such domestic water tanks include various types and styles.
Captive air tanks are one type of residential water tanks. They use rubber bladder to separate air from water. These domestic tanks are convenient to use as there is no need to add air to the water system and air is never absorbed into the water. There is yet another type of domestic water tanks called as steel water tanks. The old variety of these tanks doesn’t have bladders.
Range boilers are another classification of water tanks used for domestic purposes. They are mostly used to get hot water for house hold purposes. The water is heated from a range boiler through hot water systems that are vertical or horizontal in shape. There are indirect fired hot water systems that can be used for domestic uses. Here hot water is cycled from a steam boiler by looping inside a steel tank.
The method of using these domestic water tanks vary greatly, hence the method of repairing these tanks also differ. The selection of a particular type of residential water tanks is solely depending on the purpose of using the tanks. The tank can be intended to serve for a single house or it can be used for use in a residential building having many houses.
